DOWNTOWN, SAN DIEGO (KUSI) – The Italian restaurant Nicolosi has a brand new location in the Gaslamp. The family business started when Salvatore Nicolosi emigrated from Sicily to America in 1906. Salvatore and his wife, Francesca, opened their first restaurant in 1952 in Mission Hills, and with that, it became an instant success. After Salvatore’s death in 1954, the restaurant was taken over by his family. Nicolosi’s now has two branches in San Diego and they have continued to offer the same family recipes to their customers. If you are looking for true Italian cuisine, look no further.

Kacey McKinnon of KUSI spoke with Barb Nicolosi about their new location in the Gaslamp neighborhood in San Diego, California. Nicolosi says: “We are delighted to be here”.

At the Gaslamp location you can find many special offers:

-Children eat FREE (Wednesday-Sunday)

-Military personnel receive 15% off and $ 1 on beers

-Are you ready for the five-pound pasta challenge? If you complete the five pound plate of pasta, you will receive the meal for FREE and you will receive a Nicolosi “Legalize Marinara” t-shirt.

Nicolosi’s is open from Wednesday to Sunday!
