The City Federal Bank Building in Montgomery will house Restaurant Ravelloan Italian-inspired restaurant slated to open in May.
Ravello, located at 36 Commerce St., will offer authentic Italian dishes inspired by the Amalfi Coast. The restaurant’s bar menu includes a mix of classic and original craft cocktails inspired by Italian traditions and an extensive list of hand-picked wines.
The 140-seat multi-level restaurant will be open Monday through Saturday from 4:30 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.
Vintage Hospitality Group and partners have restored the vacant circa 1920s downtown Montgomery City Federal Bank building with a large-scale vignette of the Amalfi Coast painted by muralist David Braley and interiors designed by Laura Dockery. The building also offers event spaces, including two mezzanines, one of which overlooks the restaurant, as well as a courtyard, a cellar and a ballroom. A future rooftop bar will offer guests views of downtown Montgomery and the Alabama River.
The rotating selection of homemade pasta dishes will range from squid ink spaghetti with tomato-uni stew to rich gnudi with homemade ricotta and brown butter. Menu highlights will include seasonal dishes such as Maine sea scallops and wood-roasted branzino. After dinner, Italian-inspired desserts like chocolate torta al tartufo will be available.
