New Italian restaurant, Talea relies on Michelin talents

Talea is about to deliver a kind of royal romance…

Based in the capital’s unabashedly elegant home, Emirates Palace, and dressed to impress with a princely interior design, Talea – now open – seems determined to bring fresh, regal energy to the city’s Italian dining scene.

The concept comes from Michelin-starred chef Antonio Guido and features a menu built around the theme of “Cucina di Famiglia” which, for those whose Italian is limited to hand gestures and football clubs, translates to “home cooking”. .

Along with a collection of top-notch artisan pizzas and expertly hand-made pasta options, you can expect a sparkling assemblage of rarer Italian gourmet gems. Large plates infused with the raw passion and sophistication of Milanese and Apulian cuisine, dishes such as osso buco – a rich and tender slow-cooked stew, and vitello tonnato, the perfect dish for summer Eternal of Abu Dhabi – a ‘freddo‘ preparation of thin slices of veal with a tuna-caper sauce.

The restaurant has a fairy-tale terrace, hemmed by the grand columns of the Palais facade, and offering a romantic view of the dreamy blue of the Corniche.

Speaking about the launch, Chef Antonio Guida said: “With our ‘Italy meets Abu Dhabi’ concept, I am delighted to offer Tale’s patrons a new dining experience that features a fresh take on Italian favorites, as well as rare and unusual combinations.”

He also leaves a talented pair of hands at the helm of the kitchen, with protege Luigi Stinga at the helm, ensuring the offering of seasonal and authentic Italian produce reaches its potential on the plate.
