Iowa is a hub of great Italian food, but tucked away in small town Fayette County, Oelwein might be one of the state’s best-hidden gems. Not only does Leo’s Italian Restaurant serve up huge portions at reasonable prices, but it’s also been serving up its famous dishes since 1922. As it celebrates its centenary, this three-generation family legend has plenty of memories to celebrate.
In these uncertain times, please keep safety in mind and consider adding destinations to your bucket list at a later date.
Leo’s Italian Restaurant and Generations Lounge have changed a lot over the years. If you’ve visited at any stage in its history, let us know what’s new and what’s stayed the same in the comments section. The centenary is likely to be a big celebration with lots of promotions, so be sure to keep an eye out for their website and Facebook page for all the latest.
