Celebrity chef Fabio Viviani can’t stop cooking in Tampa Bay.
According to Tampa Bay Times, Viviani and her partners will open their latest concept Coastal Tavern youits Sunday, January 16 at 200 Central Ave.
The restaurant will offer premium steaks, house pastas, pizzas and signature seafood dishes, all “line-caught and transported fresh”, as well as a selection of more than 35 wines by the glass.
Viviani, originally from Florence, is widely known for his participation in the hit cooking show Top Chef. Plus, he’s no stranger to Tampa Bay as he’s shared his culinary skills at restaurants like Osteria Bar + Kitchen and Mole y Abuela.
Alongside Viviani will also be her partners Anthony Sandstrom and Brian Henr, who have worked on several restaurants together, including Chuck Lager’s American Tavern, which is set to open another restaurant in Tampa this year.
The opening of Taverna Costale comes after the scandal involving Nocturnal Hospitality Group, the local management company that once ran three of Viviani’s restaurants. Viviani cut ties with them after concerns of racial discrimination were raised about the company’s co-owner, Lanfranco Pescante.
