A new Italian restaurant will open in Pearl on Valentine’s Day

Breakfast and lunch dishes inspired by Rome’s popular outdoor markets will be available from Valentine’s Day at Pearl’s brand new restaurant, Watered.

The first of two new Italian concepts from Maverick Restaurant Group and La Dolce Vita SATX, Arrosta is a fast-casual restaurant located on the ground floor of the Oxbow building.

When it debuts on February 14, Arrosta will be open from 7:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Monday through Friday with breakfast and lunch menus. Dinner and weekend service will follow in the coming weeks.

Italian cuisine is emotional cuisine of the highest quality with the simplest expression – filling our eyes, our hearts and our hunger with happiness and beauty,” says Peter Selig, President of Maverick Restaurant Group and La Dolce. Vita SATX, in a press release. “The Italians offer the best hospitality, which we intend to recreate. Italian made by Texans; it will be.

Breakfast will include tea buns, granola, or fresh fruit with mascarpone yogurt, frittatas, focaccia, quiche, and ham and cheese pie, among other dishes. Lunch includes soups, salads, pizza al taglio, panini and more. The cafe will also offer morning coffees and beer and wine later in the day.

Sister Restaurant Allora will open later this month in Pearl’s Credit Human Building. It will offer full-service coastal Italian fare and launch with dinner service.

Selig worked with chefs Robbie Nowlin and Chris Carlson on both restaurants. Carlson will direct Arrosta and Nowlin will direct Allora.
